  • Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

This "Samsara" vinyl pressing is the result of a successful Indiegogo campaign on behalf of a Memphis/Nashville band that existed 1988-92, with a single eponymous David Kahne-produced release on Columbia (1990) and a minor hit ("Me & Elvis"). Produced by Ross Rice with all original members, both the CD and vinyl covers features art by Keith Brogdon of Thinking Out Loud Productions. Manufactured with loving care by the good folks at Memphis Record Pressing. Features nine of the twelve songs from the CD.

  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

All twelve songs are also available on the Samsara CD, which comes in an eco-pac with the cover design by Keith Brogdon of Thinking Out Loud. Both vinyl and CD have been mastered by Bruce Barielle, of the fine city of New Orleans, and though the music comes out at a fine level, we do not participate in "volume wars" so it's not overly compressed like many new rock CDs. Also a result of the Indiegogo campaign, with donors galore recognized in the gatefold!

about

it's all a basic misunderstanding. let's take it from the top, and remember...

lyrics

Remember the time when you and I
First arrived here on the island?
All was provided by the light
We shared a paradise
But you wanted yours, I wanted mine
We drew the line and it defined us
Now we don’t talk much anymore
We just stare across the spaces
And you don’t recognize my face
We’re on opposite sides but we occupy the same place

Remember that we are one big family
Suspended in reality
And we’ve got to live here together
I’ve got you and you’ve got me
Lovers, strangers, enemies
Somehow we’ve got to live here together

Once we were right but now we fight
We’re bitter rivals on the island
Count out the time and waste our lives
Civilizing paradise
Now I want yours, you want mine
See how the animals get violent
And someone smart calls it a war
Now we glare across the table
Aiming instruments of pain
With our amazing brains that never will be able to remember…
